Making Good On Our Promises
Make Good is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to building a more equitable future in Los Angeles.
Through our signature programs, The Book Foundation and The TAY Shop, we deliver immediate, meaningful support to vulnerable and underserved youth, ensuring they have the resources, community, and care they need to thrive.
The mission of The Book Foundation is to close the achievement gap and promote literacy by placing new books into the hands and homes of low-income and underserved children.
The TAY Shop is a retail environment where system involved and transitional aged foster youth are able to shop for casual and career clothing and basic essentials free of charge.
Make Good is located at The Emporium: Foster Resource & Literacy Center in Mid-city Los Angeles. The Emporium is a hub for mission-aligned non-profits and programs to share resources and increase positive outcomes for foster and vulnerable children and youth.
The Emporium shops are a collaborative effort of Make Good, Inc and Hope In A Suitcase.
The Make Good and Hope In A Suitcase Shops are an appointment- only storefront that offers children, tweens, transition aged foster youth and young adults basic essentials, career and casual clothing, accessories and books free of charge.
Thank you to The Anthony Pritzker Family Foundation for supporting our shared headquarters.
