Join us as a volunteer for our 3rd Annual Kickstart College & Career Pop-Up Shopping Day on Wednesday, July 15th! This special day is a FREE pop-up shopping experience for current or former foster youth stepping into their freshman year or first year at community college, trade tech, or vocational school this Fall. We’re proud to partner with Make Good & Children's Action Network for this meaningful event.

Tuesday, July 14th SET UP DAY

You'll help set up canopies and tables and organize products so everything is ready for our amazing guests!
*NOTE: Children under 14 years must be accompanied by an adult.

AM SHIFT: 9:15 am - 12:15 pm
You'll help with the final setup, hand out items, and support our guests as a friendly personal "shopping" assistant.
PM SHIFT: 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
You'll distribute items, serve as a personal "shopping" assistant, and help us wrap up a wonderful event during the breakdown.
Volunteers must be 16+ years old to participate in this event.
We’ll have plenty of beverages and snacks available to keep you energized and appreciated!

Day 2: Kickstart College & Career Shopping Day
Volunteer for our Kickstart College Pop-Up Shopping Day 2 on Thursday, July 16th. This event is a FREE pop-up shopping day for under-resourced high school graduates of the SEED School of Los Angeles County who will be attending a four-year college in the fall. The SEED School is Los Angeles' first free-tuition public boarding school located at Manchester & Vermont.
Shift: 10:00 AM- 2:00 PM
NOTE: Volunteers must be 16+ years old to participate in this event.

We will need volunteers to act as personal shoppers, station captains and more.
SATURDAY, AUG 1st, SET UP:
10:00 am - 12:30 pm Duties include: setting up canopies, tables, chairs, opening boxes, etc.
Water & snacks to be provided.
Volunteers under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult
SUNDAY, AUG 2nd, EVENT DAY:
AM SHIFT - 9:15 am - 12:45 pm
PM SHIFT - 12:30 pm - 4:00 pm
*If you want to work all day, select both shifts.
You must be 16+ years to work this event. Please do not bring pets unless they are certified service animals.
*Please only sign up for a shift if you can stay the entire time. We count on you to complete the tasks that need to be done!
Lunch will be provided for volunteers. Snacks and beverages will be available all day.

SHIFT - 11:45 am - 2:45 pm
You must be 16+ years to work this event. Please do not bring pets unless it is a certified service animal.
*Please only sign up for a shift if you can stay the entire time. We count on you to complete the tasks that need to be done!

Here Comes the Sun

Join Make Good & Hope in a Suitcase for our annual "Here Comes the Sun" Pop Up Shopping Event for current foster youth ages 10 - 20 years old on Sunday, May 3th! We will need volunteers to act as personal shoppers, station captains and more.
Don’t forget to wear your Make Good shirt if you have one!

10:00 am - 12:30 pm
Duties include: setting up canopies, tables, chairs, opening boxes, sorting items, hanging clothing, etc.
Water & snacks to be provided.

SUNDAY, MAY 4th, EVENT DAY:
AM SHIFT - 9:30 am - 12:30 pm
PM SHIFT - 12:15 pm - 3:15 pm
*If you want to work all day, select both shifts.

Self-Care Sunday
A day of pampering and shopping with Hope in a Suitcase for foster teen girls ages 15-17 to prepare them for prom, graduation, and summer jobs.
February Fun Shopping Day with Hope in a Suitcase
This is a smaller scale pop-up shopping event for current foster youth ages 9-18. Children and youth will shop for brand-new clothing, shoes, toiletries, books, accessories and more. Caregivers will receive a special gift.
